How to calculate age between two dates

Age is counted in completed units. First count the full years between the two dates, then the full months left over, and finally the remaining days. For example, from 15 June 1995 to 19 October 2026:

15 Jun 1995 → 15 Jun 2026 = 31 full years
15 Jun 2026 → 15 Oct 2026 = 4 full months
15 Oct 2026 → 19 Oct 2026 = 4 days
Age = 31 years, 4 months, 4 days

Months have different lengths, so this calculator always counts whole calendar months first and then the leftover days. That way dates at the end of a month and leap years (29 February) are handled correctly — for example, 31 January to 1 March is 1 month and 1 day.

No. Like most age calculations, the result is the time elapsed between the two dates, so from 1 January to 2 January is 1 day. Add one day if you need to count both the start and end date.
